I am not in your district but as an Independent I try to stay balanced in my understanding of politics and motives. I have admired you up until now. I am very disappointed in anyone, regardless of party, that does not seek to stop this over-reach of President Trump or his crony, Elon Musk much of which is illegal. Seeking court resolutions takes lots of time. The quickest is for Senate and House to shut them down!!! I would like to see some backbone here. Voters memories are long and will impact any chance at reelection. The impacts on the country are huge as well as our standing, our word, in the world. Maine will be hard hit with the tariffs on Canada as we rely on their oil and gas more than the rest of the country. The Republican agenda sends us back decades. People are making decisions that have no understanding of the long term implications. Time to act is now.
It seems as if he is trying to find some point of agreement with MAGA Republicans to prove he works "across the aisle" like tariffs, which if he had a deeper grasp on economic history, he would know have been destructive in the past, especially blanket tariffs as Golden is proposing, but now he'll get to see in the present and in person how destructive they are. Second point- the current president lies, exaggerates, twists the truth, etc. whenever he opens his mouth, so Rep Golden should replace his false hopes with practical ways of increasing the power of his purported party.

Our so called “leader” has made us the most hated nation in the world, in under two months—siding with Putin and turning his back on our long time allies abroad and the TARRIFFS imposed on our neighboring allies (former allies I should say). He is cutting programs that the elderly, disabled, children, and middle class/lower income families need to LIVE, to put money in the pockets of the rich.
