Hi Jared and congratulations on your success--hard work and dedication have paid off, at least in part, for now. I appreciate all you've done and continue to do. I will also continue to support you and your efforts in any way I'm able and not because I'm a veteran but because I believe in your philosophy. Please keep up the good work!

Thank you for your comments in your weekly update of representing Maine's 2nd:

"Solutions I’m leading — such as a prohibition of stock trading by members of Congress and their families, a lifetime ban on lobbying by members, and a term limits amendment to the Constitution — will prevent politicians from using their position for their own benefit, and reiterate the message that service is for the people, not for profit. If they are convicted of abusing their privilege, I’m also proposing immediately eliminating their pensions.

"Additionally, American elections and campaigns should be more transparent and free from foreign interference. The legislation I’ve introduced would shine a light on who is financing and influencing elections, overturn the Citizens United decision, and cut off the flow of foreign money in politics. "

We greatly appreciate your efforts and personal/public conscience.

Well done Jared. I have personal experience with someone coming out of the service with mental issues. If there was a treatment center for him, we probably would still be married. I pray that this can help keep families together. The children need their dad's and mom's. And we need our spouses.

Bravo Jared,,,Please keep after the VA, as they continue take away services, ,,why did it take so long to announce projects that were funded years ago ( Thanks to you) !!! The workers at the VA are really the best you could want,,,but the Administrators have prioritized budget as # 1,,,and veterans 2 ond...they should be ashamed that they took away previous benefits on their watch..I know cause I am a disabled vet and use the VA for health care. ...................................appreciate all you can do to help

Thanks for fighting for our veterans. I have seen some of my family impacted by some form of mental illness after returning from overseas. I have had veterans in my family every war starting with the Revolution and even before. I have seven veterans in my family at this time. Three others have passed away including my Uncle Charlie who served in WW II and was in D Day, Battle of the Bulge and many others and made it home. Sincerely, Peter
